After completing her education, Esmé pursued her passion for art by studying Textile Design at Technikon Pretoria. Equipped with a strong foundation and a keen eye for aesthetics, she embarked on a remarkable artistic voyage.

Esmé currently resides on a picturesque farm in the Waterfallsriver Valley in Mpumalanga, alongside her husband, Frik. It is within the tranquil embrace of this countryside haven that she has set up her studio, which also doubles as an art gallery. With a preference for oil on board, Esmé masterfully wields a palette knife to create a distinctive "impasto" style, imbuing her pieces with captivating textures and depth.
